How to determine your skin type?

This type of skin is caused by over secretion of sebum making the skin surface oily. It is thick, with open pores.

Oily skin is prone to black heads, spots and pimples it can generate different types of acne.
An oily skin can be dehydrated (loss of water).

Oil production is nature’s response to irritation so the harsher the cleansing, the more likely the body is to respond by producing sebum. This is why it is important to clean oily skins gently and to carry on moisturizing this type of skin.
This skin type is less sensitive to external factors and therefore it is less prone to wrinkles and signs of aging.

It is a combination of both oily and dry skin with certain areas of the face oily: on the forehead – nose and chin ( we called it T zone) & the rest dry (on the cheeks – areas around the mouth and eyes). Each part of the face should be treated accordingly.

Generally this type of skin does not have open pores, but it produces itching. The skin feels rough and appears dull & flaky. It is prone to wrinkles and lines. It is due to the inability to retain moisture as well as the insufficient production of sebum by the sebaceous glands.
